Who to shortlist
For Ranked after City Never Sleeps, start your shortlist with Paige, Graves and Victor. They lead the established heroes in the all-rank patch sample. Rat King has the highest observed win rate. Treat these early results as provisional, and judge how consistently you can play him. At Ascendant and above, the same sample instead points toward Sinclair, Dynamo and Celeste, with Rat King still leading the observed results.
These are conditional picks from public match statistics, not a guarantee of personal success. If you are learning the game, try Ivy for an ally-focused plan or Victor for a health-management plan before chasing a ranking. Those learning suggestions come from their documented mechanics; this dataset does not measure beginner difficulty.
What this list measures
The tables below preserve a Tracklock snapshot checked on 4 October 2026. Both use its 2026-09-29 City Never Sleeps filter, Ranked matches, and either all Ranked players or Ascendant +. Street Brawl and unranked games are outside this comparison. Tracklock assigns match rank from the average of the two teams’ average ranks, so a bracket describes the match, not necessarily every participant.
The patch filter identifies the major-update window. It does not isolate client build 6745 or expose an exact cutoff time for every match. Use this as an early view of the current update, then recheck after another balance change. The numbers are a saved snapshot and do not update automatically on this page.
All-rank shortlist versus high-rank shortlist
| Candidate | Ranked, all ranks | Ascendant + |
|---|---|---|
| Rat King | 59.93% · 10.6K wins / 7.1K losses | 57.78% · 594 / 434 |
| Paige | 55.59% · 13.7K / 11K | 51.86% · 668 / 620 |
| Graves | 54.98% · 12.2K / 10K | 50.87% · 350 / 338 |
| Victor | 54.71% · 10.2K / 8.4K | 51.61% · 448 / 420 |
| Sinclair | 49.40% · 4.8K / 4.9K | 56.17% · 414 / 323 |
| Dynamo | 52.28% · 9.2K / 8.4K | 54.95% · 455 / 373 |
| Celeste | 49.99% · 7.1K / 7.1K | 54.09% · 470 / 399 |
The displayed win/loss counts are rounded where the publisher uses K. Do not recalculate the exact percentage from rounded counts. The high-rank sample is much smaller: Sinclair’s 414 wins and 323 losses represent 737 hero appearances, while Graves has 688. Small differences should guide a trial, rather than decide your entire hero pool.
Rat King has a shorter history. His release followed the start of the major-update window, so that window does not give him the same amount of exposure as the established roster. A separate Last 24 Hours Ranked snapshot also contains actual Rat King results: 60.16% with 9.8K wins / 6.5K losses across all ranks, and 57.37% with 533 / 396 at Ascendant +. This supplies post-launch observations instead of a pre-release prediction. It still cannot establish a settled long-term strength or explain how unfamiliar opponents affect his result.

How to choose for your situation
- Learning Standard: use the hero roster guide to pick a play pattern you can execute. Start with Ivy if you want to follow and protect an ally, or Victor if you want to practise managing health through fights. The Ranked percentages above do not estimate your Standard win rate.
- Entering Ranked: shortlist Paige, Graves or Victor when you want an established hero with a strong all-rank result. Graves suits a summons-and-pressure plan; Victor suits a sustain-and-health plan. Read the Graves guide or Victor guide and test that plan before queueing. Ivy remains a useful ally-focused alternative with a 53.33% all-rank result.
- Playing Ascendant +: put Sinclair, Dynamo or Celeste on the trial list if their play pattern fits your experience. Celeste’s guide explains the marked-target and delayed-effect conditions you need to execute. Do not transfer Paige’s all-rank result unchanged into this bracket.
- Trying Rat King: use the Rat King guide to learn the pack and exposure conditions, then judge your own consistency. His launch-period win rate is a reason to investigate, rather than proof that he is the easiest choice.
Keep an existing practised hero when you cannot yet carry out the new pick’s fight plan. Compare your ability to finish a fight and leave safely, not just the letter beside a portrait. A low aggregate win rate can coexist with a useful team role; the sample does not control for player experience, composition or hero matchups.
Why other tier lists can disagree
Tracklock’s tier letters combine normalized win rate and pick rate, weighted 80% and 20%. They are not pure win-rate ranks. Its patch-sample S/S+ band includes Rat King, Paige, Graves, Victor, Seven and Haze; the Ascendant + S/S+ band instead includes Rat King, Sinclair, Dynamo, Celeste, Holliday and Yamato. Our shortlist also considers the stated bracket and the limits of a new hero’s history.
Earlier ladder opinions and mixed pre/post-update statistics measure different conditions. This page uses the current major-update filter and actual Ranked results. It covers the 39 released heroes in the captured table; unreleased announcement characters are not given a playable tier. Tracklock acknowledges that it does not capture every match. Both brackets and the short-window check come from the same publisher, so they are scope comparisons, not independent confirmation.
